A mac-daddy is a guy whose life is filled with almost every gadget in creation from the Apple Store. The bare essentials needed to be a "mac-daddy" are an iphone, an imac or macbook, and an ipod classic. All other Apple products owned intensify the mac-daddy effect. (With the ever expanding Apple market, the ipad may soon be an essential product that needs to be owned to obtain the mac-daddy status.) The word daddy in the compound refers to the mac-daddy fostering the Apple products as if they were his real children. A mac-daddy does not lend out his Apple gear for feat that they will be scratched, dented, or worse, broken. Most of the time it is a female who points out that her male friend is a mac-daddy. She usually calls his this to woo him into helping her lean to use her new ipod or macbook
Etymology : Mac comes from a shortening of the Macintosh product line through Apple. Daddy is a stylistic form of saying the word dad, used by American youngsters. Daddy is most frequently used by females of any age.
