Hafish

folk etymology; noun
A dog

The phrase "ha dog" in Hebrew translates to "the fish". Among my friends, an inside joke turned slang has been that "hafish" therefore means "dog".
Etymology : Perversion/reinterpretation of "ha dog" (fish) in Hebrew > "hafish" = dog
