'miring

clipping; verb; slang
To gaze upon another, typically in a wistful and longing fashion. Often used in question form, such as "You 'miring, brah?". Can sometimes be used in an aggressive manner, as to suggest that someone was perhaps 'miring too hard, and was perhaps jealous. A clip of the verb "admire", with the form used being "admiring".
 
"Yeah, Brian was totally 'miring me at the gym yesterday. He's just real jealous of these gains that I've been noting on bench press. I'm about to have to set him in his place and challenge him to a bench-off."
Etymology : Comes from the Modern English term "admire", which comes from the Latin verb admirari "to wonder at". 'Miring is the result of the clipping of the word "Admiring".
