Troll

noun
- Someone who makes very satirical comments to make fun of people. They often either agree to a ridiculous degree or make crazy unbiased claims that have nothing to do with what is being talked about as a way of making fun of people who take things too seriously. The term became popular on internet forums, but is now used in daily language as someone making fun of another. It can also be used as a verb, to troll.

Jeff was being such a troll on the ESPN comment section.
Etymology : From late 14c from Old French troller, which meant to wander without purpose. It then went to mean fishing with a big net and just trying to trap everything possible. Trolls will often say or post things hopping that someone gets caught and tries to respond so that the troll can then make fun of them.
