Gains

zero derivation; noun
Food consumed for the strict purpose of building muscle. Examples include, but are not limited to, vegetables, grilled chicken breast, pasta, fruits, water, and protein supplements.

"Gaining” is a common term in the powerlifting community to refer to bulking up in weight. Gains then generically became a term to describe all sources of food consumption to aid in muscle recovery. “Did you get enough gains on your plate today from the servery? That whole plate of chicken may not be cutting it…”
Etymology : Gains here is a widening of the end result of sustained workouts and diet: muscular composition.
