waitlist

verb; zero derivation
To indicate interest in a course that currently has no spaces available.

Although it describes the act of putting yourself on the waitlist, its usage seems to be restricted to being used to refer directly to the course in question (e.g. “I think I’ll waitlist this course” rather than “I’m going to waitlist myself”).
Etymology : The existing word waitlist taking on a new syntactic function.
