To send/post a message on twitter with the person listed immediately afterward tagged.
 
This word was redefined when Twitter as the action a person takes on the Twitter platform. The word tweet fits with the theme including their name and bird symbol. The form tweet at has a different meaning than tweet + at independently suggest. At in this instance refers to the symbol @ used to tag a person, but only takes this meaning in conjunction with a social media platform such a twitter. Tweet is originally a word for “the sound a bird makes,” and was a novel word in the 1800s based on onomatopoeia.
