Mallcrawler

compounding
A word that refers to the owner of an off-road vehicle that only takes it to local errands instead of actually taking it off roading.

This word seemed to have spawned from the word ‘rockcrawler’, which referred to a vehicle that was modified for heavy off-road use. The word rock was switched for the word mall, which at least to the people in off-roading communities, gave a relatively intuitive word to tease the non-offroaders that sounded opposite to their rockcrawlers.
Etymology : Compound formed from the roots ‘mall’ and ‘crawl’, with the suffix ‘-er’ at the end of the second root
