Eighties-ified

adjective; derivation
In the style of the American popular music of the 1980s Reason used: The word was used by my Secondary Piano teacher to describe a short piece of music that reminded her of the popular music of the 1980s. However, the parts that make up the word do not exactly convey the intended meaning. Instead of describing something that was changed into the style of music from the 1980s from a different style as the morphemes would suggest, it describes something that was originally written in that style. First, the verb forming suffix “-ify” was added to the word “eighties”. Then the adjective forming suffix “-ed” was added.

The music is kind of eighties-ified.
Etymology : “eighties” + “-ify” + “-ed”
