activism through computer hacking, generally involving defaced websites Apparent meaning: activism by computer hacking, generally involving defacing websites, in the same way that fur protestors will cover people in red paint. Reason used: Clever term for activism by hacking (‘your hacktivism gives all hackers a bad name’)
