Slizzard (2)

noun; blending
Means getting intoxicated to a very high point from alcohol. It seems commonly accepted that this word comes from the rural South.

This word is a blend of “slutty” and “lizard” to from “slizzard.” (Spelling could vary, could be spelled slizard) As stated for “shwasted” when alcohol is involved in the meaning of a word there is oftentimes more coarse language involved in the blend and in this case, that coarse language is “slutty.” The word “slutty” here refers to the idea of drunk girls as “easy” and having lost many of their sexual inhibitions but the word “lizard” is puzzling here. Maybe a reference to its geographical source, the South being a place full of lizards, but this seems highly unlikely.
Etymology : Blended from “slutty” and “lizard” to form “slizzard.”
Source : “When we drink we do it right getting slizzard.” – popular rap song, “Like A G6,”by Far East Movement. Song published in Nov. 2009 but has been at top of popular music charts most of fall 2010.
