- This is a derivation between the words “Bieber” and the suffix “-mania” to form “Bieber mania.” There are many analogs to this word, “symphonia” meaning “madness for symphonies,” “nymphomania” meaning “madness for “sex,” etc. While some of these other “mania” derivatives are referring to actual madness, this one is not necessarily referring to a neurological disorder. The idea is that he is so well loved that it approaches or can be compared to a sort of mania. Here with the compound there is a hint of analogy as well as the amount of love he experiences is compared to as similar to a mania. The analogy is drawn between how much people love him and how it is almost crazy in its intensity. Similar in meaning as "Bieber fever" and they both share this analogical effect.
