- "I love your new omnipotent netvertible!"
Netvertible
blending; noun
A netbook computer that is also a tablet. The terms is fairly new and most likely came to being when the first netbook tablets, Lenevo s10 and Asus t101mt were released back in April 2010. Since such devices were so unique in the market a name is used to describe the category. Since these devices have the both the characteristics of netbooks and convertible tablet pcs, the name is appropriate. Netbooks are just like netbooks for they use Atom processors and usually weigh under 3 pounds. Compare to a typical tablet pc, a netvertible lacks a active digitizer that picks up hovering of the stylus.
Etymology : blending of "net" and "convertible". Convertible is first clipped to -vertible.
