adjective; clipping
jealous; feeling resentment because of another person’s gains or accomplishments.
 
Sometimes used as an interjection, (You got to see Maroon 5 live? Oh my gosh, jelly!) but more typically used as a shorthand for the word “jealous.” Often expressed in a complacent or smug manner.
Etymology : Clipping of the word “jealous” compounded with the suffix “-ly.”
