adjective conversion
describe something that is similar or approximate to something; kind of; sort of.
 
It is often used instead of “kind of” or “sort of”. It was probably taken from the suffix that can sometimes add the meaning of “kind of” or “sort of”.
Etymology : from suffix –ish that forms adjectives from nouns to indicate “having characteristics of” or is attached to other adjectives to indicate “somewhat” or “approximately”
