noun; clipping
A tattoo.
 
Slang for tattoo. Sometimes implies that the tattoo marks gang affiliation or time in prison. ‘Look at that tat, he must be a blood.’ Also used as a verb in such ways as, ‘He got tatted up.’
Etymology : clipping from tattoo - Polynesian, ‘tatu’.
