Gate Rape

noun Compounding
The TSA airport screening procedure

It is used to denote how irritating such screening procedures are at the airport. It is a derogatory term for screening procedure. It was first put together because of the two words' sound similarities. Then was put to wide use to show how annoying the screening procedures are and how they resemble a "rape" by scanning your body.
Etymology : It compound the words "Gate" and "Rape" to form a new word.
Source : E.g. “Gate rapes get on my nerves.” I’ve actually heard this at the airport when I first arrived at Houston, from a couple who were complaining about the Los Angeles Airport.
