ration

noun; zero derivation
a small or niggardly amount An adapted slang use in which the impoverished sense of “ration” – a limited amount of provisions doled out for a specific time period – is emphasized to mean an inadequate or stingy portion. It is a new word because it was adapted from official, martial context for use in everyday affairs, and is used generally to refer to leftovers, or if someone is not sharing adequately.

Man, I got rations on the pizza.
Etymology : ration - Fr. Latinate: A fixed allowance or individual share of provisions
