Someone who is extremely proficient at a given task This word was first used by avid computer game players to denote someone who was extremely skilled at a certain game. At first, they were known as the ‘elite’ players. Later, it shortened to ‘leet’, and then was changed to 1337 as gamers developed their own code.
 
That guy was so leet, we never had a chance.
