Ebonics (1)

noun; blending
A variation of English made up of slang words and southern clippings and shortenings of words. Ebonics is a blend of ebony and phonics. It was coined to describe the dialect of African Americans and their use of the English language.
 
"I can't understand what they're saying when they're speaking in Ebonics."
Etymology : Ebony- ME hebenyf, perhaps taken from Latin hebeninus Phonics- from Greek "phone" + -ics
