Badged

verb; other word formation type conversion
An off duty police officer flashing his badge to the officer who pulled him over to get out of a speeding ticket. This is somewhat of an unfair justice an officer can abuse, as a regular civilian is not afforded the same opportunity. An officer who is off duty can usually always find his way out of a ticket as one policeman would not want to ticket another. This term derived itself from the action of the off duty officer flashing his badge to the policeman instead of giving his license and registration.

“My Dad got pulled over today while I was riding with him and he badged his way out of the ticket.”
Etymology : Perhaps from Latin "bagis" + ed
