colloquial(ly) verb
To make a [difficult] shot, usually in a game related to basketball. Many know Kobe Bryant as a leading player in American basketball, and his name has since become synonymous with great ability in the game. There are many variations of shooting in the game of basketball: beer pong, throwing papers in a wastebasket, etc. It can be used as a single expression after the success of a shot, or in the context of a sentence.
 
[After making a shot] Kobe! He kobe’d that shot blindfolded.
Etymology : Kobe Bryant, commonly known to the public and fans as simply “Kobe”. His success as a basketball player has made his name synonymous with a successful shot in a basketball related game.
