n. a post on twitter, v. to publish an update on twitter. This word has become increasingly popular as the website Twitter has been immensely popularized. How this word has come about is comparable to how the word ‘google’ established itself as a common verb meaning to ‘search on google’ as ‘google’ also originated from the popularization of the website Google. The word ‘tweet’ is used among both twitter users and non-twitter users today.
