Buddhu (1)

noun; loanword
A silly person

When Indian people in the U.S. get frustrated, they start speaking in Hindi. Therefore, when they want to call someone an idiot (but in a joking manner), they often accidentally say "Buddhu!" Non-Indian American people started to catch on and now sometimes use the term in regular conversation.
Etymology : Loanword noun from Hindi meaning “silly person”
