gg

acronym; adjective
Often used as an expression to implicate something is over and that the person has failed. It has also been used as an adjective describing something that has happened.
 
gg has traditionally stood for ‘good game’ and has been shortened to just the letters, gg. This started as something said at the end of playing an online game to acknowledge the opponent and be polite. It has evolved from being used only used online into everyday language. In everyday speech, it is normally said to someone who has attempted something, but has seemed to fail.
Etymology : Gg stands for ‘good game’ and originated into everyday speech.
