Usually people would say regular weed, but for the sake of convenience and code speak, this term was shortened to reggie and is now a universal term for regular weed.
Etymology : Derived from the word regular, converted into someone’s name… the meaning of the word reggie changes to mean regular weed. Regular- From the late 14th century, from an Old French word reguler from the Latin word regularis meaning to move in a straight line or following predictable patterns Reginald- proper name meaning “ruling with power”
