adjective, an alternative to the phrase “fucked up” adds the squandering connotation to the already existing phrase which originally means to ruin or spoil something.
 
used the same as the phrase "fucked up" but with off added instead of up for emphasis .
Etymology : Derived from the words fucked, up, and off Fucked Up- meaning to ruin, spoil, destroy. From a group of Slavic words meaning both fornicate and make a mistake Off simply replaces up
