Televoidance

blending; joke, jokingly
[n.] Avoiding a person by pretending that you are talking on your cell phone when he or she comes near you.
 
"I am guilty of televoidance; I use it whenever I pass Andrew on the way to class." "I'm pretty sure Emily is televoiding me. That or she is AlWAYS on her cell phone."
Etymology : Blending of the words "telephone" and "avoidance". The word was probably deliberately created as a joke, but it's funny because so many people really are guilty of it.
