A university cafeteria, or the food it serves; used pejoratively Caf is a slang word I have heard from several students who go to another college. They use it to refer to their school’s cafeteria. It is used somewhat pejoratively, since their university cafeteria food is regarded as being mediocre at best. It is sometimes extended to refer to not only the cafeteria, but also to the food itself (‘caf food’); however, it normally refers to the physical cafeteria.
