NOD bod (2)

acronym; clipping; noun
The more toned and fit body students strive to have by the time NOD, a party where people notoriously wear little clothing, comes around.

NOD stands for Night of Decadence and is the annual Halloween party at Rice. Bod is a clipping of the word body and usually only describes a skinny body. NOD and bod also rhyme, which may have contributed to the increased use and spreading of the word around campus. This phrase is most likely only known to students at Rice or alumni of the university because NOD is specific to Rice.
Etymology : NOD is an acronym for Night of Decadence. Bod is a clipping of body. The two words were compounded together to form NOD bod.
