Poppin'

adjective; clipping Novel Creation
cool, fascinating

This word is used by my friends from Emory University. Popping once referred to the action of being popped or the dance move. Then popping was clipped to analogously mean getting something started, as in poppin the party. Now, it can simply be used to describe something cool. Example: That song is poppin. This is a poppin jacket.
Etymology : Popping: act of exploding, clipped to form poppin, transformed into meaning cool
