Movember

blending; noun
An alternate name for November that acknowledges No Shave November; in this form, participants grow a mustache instead of a full beard.

The phrase is used to refer to people who are growing a mustache as part of No Shave November. An example would be "Hey, are you participating in Movember?"
Etymology : The word began to appear on Rice's campus two years ago, when the Hanszen Men's Resource Center sponsored a campus-wide even called "No Shave November." The official sponsorship of Movember began in 2004, with the formation of the Movember charity. The goal of the event, which blends the words mustache and November, is to encourage participants to grow mustaches during November to help highlight men's health issues. As the popularity of the event has picked up, the word has picked up general usage in public.
Source : I found out about the word while attending an information session, when an employee at Bain said "How do you like my Movember mustache?" (11-11-2011)
