budge

zero derivation VERB
Another way to say "to cut," as in getting in front of a person waiting in a line.
 
May come from the fact that you may physically bump or budge a person when you cut them in line. It is possibly a regional slang, too.
Etymology : Budge is a verb for moving an object.
