unwet

verb; compounding
To dry, remove water, make less damp. This word is unconventional, and thus humorous. The writer probably wanted to make her audience laugh. She may also have chosen this word for its shock value. Alternatively, the writer may have momentarily forgotten the word “dry,” and replaced it with a novel word that conveyed the same meaning.

I needed to use the hairdryer to unwet … some other clothing.
Etymology : unwet. Compounding of un + wet
