- Since the words slut and whore have similar meanings, they were blended together into one composite word, slore. This probably occurred since the speaker or writer who formed it could not decide between the word slut and whore and therefore just combined the two. Also, it may have been a way to show that the person the term is used to describe is extremely promiscuous and therefore requires the label of both a slut and a whore.
