Intoxilyzer

noun; blending and clipping
A device that analyzes a person’s level of intoxication. This word was coined to be the name of the device as a marketable product, appealing to consumers such as city governments, and therefore had to sound very electronic and futuristic.
 
The Intoxilyzer 5000 is determines one’s level of intoxication.
Etymology : Clipping/Blending of intox(ication) + (ana)lyze + -er 'noun'
