laptop

noun; analogy
a particular kid’s meal produced/served at KFC (includes chicken, side, and a Tropicana juice box). A laptop computer is a convenient computer than can be taken essentially anywhere; by extension, this laptop meal is advertised as being convenient to take or eat anywhere. Additionally, laptop computers are generally seen as a positive technological advance; thus, the word laptop has implicit “good” connotations that would then extend to this class of meal. Also, children generally see things possessed or done by older people as “cool.” Therefore, calling the meal a laptop might encourage kids to desire it because it has the same name as a grown-up possession.
