Flying

analogy Verb
Euphemism for getting high off of smoking weed.

The neologism flying came from the metaphorical use of the modern English word flying to describe the feeling that occurs from smoking weed. Similar terms would be: getting high, buzzing, getting baked etc. The reason behind the development of this meaning for flying isn't really clear beyond the obvious analogical link.
Etymology : Verb[Fly + -ing]
