- Blending of the word jitter; feeling a great deal of nervousness. The term was coined in particular reference from an over dosage of Starbucks coffee. Starbucks from its inception was considered a cult like movement as people would pay exorbitant amounts for coffee and remained loyal to the brand. –erati means group; jitterati has a negative connotation to it, being cult like.
