the act of a male getting a female to like him or go on a date with him or have sex with him
 
Refers to the male perspective of women and how today they view females and love as a game that is to be won. Scoring in its original form meant to get ahead or gain a point in a sports game. Often heard in misogynistic talk and among groups of male friends.
Etymology : Once meant to move ahead in a game and now it can be used to mean the act of getting a girl to like you.
