The state of having a lot of people working or employed.
 
“We like to think of America as the workingest nation on earth. But that’s no longer the case,”
Etymology : Word formed through derivation (affixation). Formed by by adding the suffix "est" to make a superlative form of "working." It's a new expression that was created after Americans started to observe the high unemployment rate in the United States, a country where they thought everone could fulfill their dreams and find jobs. The new term reflects that there are many who are willing to work hard, but that they cannot find vocations.
