Someone who thinks they are important, but is really insignificant. Also can be used with the word noob. Also refers to someone with poor hygiene or appearance.
 
Scrub is used when referring to someone who is trying to emphasize or brag about some aspect of themselves that others know is not true or over-exaggerated. It is also is used to refer to someone dressed very shabbily, who walks into an establishment that is reserved for a higher social class.
Etymology : It originally came from the scrub, which is defined as a low stunted tree and came from shrub. It changed meaning overtime to deal with human self esteem, and self image.
