To go to, take residence in.
 
“GSA is never going to have a shot against Lovett when they play Powderpuff on Sunday. Lovett Powderpuff is going to occupy that field.”
Etymology : Has come into recent collective consciousness due to the Occupy Wall Street movement. Slang repurposing of the word ‘occupy’ to change from simple presence in a place to doing something of purpose in a place.
