- I can’t help that this room is full of electronics and controllers, I’m simply part of the wire-baby generation
Wire-baby
compounding; noun
A word used to describe a person born from 1990-2000. These individuals are heavily reliant on wired devices such as Xboxes, DVD players, desktop computers, and HDMI inputs from their laptops. An apparent combination of the word “wires” in reference to technology with the word “baby” to describe their persons. Possibly, the word baby was used due to heavy usage of the word within media as referring to significant others as “babes” and “babies”.
Etymology : Novel creation by combination of "wire" and "baby"
