adjective; clipping From word cracking. Takes the “g” off using clipping; derivation From word cracking. Changes the part of speech through derivation from a verb to an adjective.
Used to describe a party or fun event.
 
Heard this word from a friend this year and have since used crackin’ a few times in my own speech. Word was originally changed from its original form as a means of saying "what's up" with the phrase what's crackin'. It has since been derived to refer to parties.
