Jerkette

noun; derivation
A rude, mean or stupid female. This is the female version of the work 'jerk' and is used to describe a female’s behaviour when she is being rude, mean or in some cases, just plain stupid. I'm not entirely sure where this word came from; although I was using it I couldn’t remember a source where I had heard it. A Google search turned up pages of results about a ‘How to Avoid Marrying a Jerk (or Jerkette)’ seminar but no indication of an origin of the word. The word is formed by female derivation - 'jerk' + 'ette'. Although 'ette' usually carries a sense of diminution (from the French suffix 'ette' meaning female and smaller), in this word it only means female.

I can't believe she just ditched him like that, she's such a jerkette!
