HFFA

acronym Adjective
HFFA stands for "hot from far away", referring to someone who appears to be attractive from a distance, but up close the less desirable features are noticeable.
 
Jack: "See that girl over there by the table? I'm going to go talk to her." Josh: "She's in my math class. HFFA, watch out."
Etymology : "Hot", from the Old English "hat". The slang term "hot" being associated with attractiveness dates back to the 1500s.
Source : First saw it on the TV show Scrubs, the episode "My Bed Banter & Beyond", aired February 5, 2002. Have heard it many times since.
