Idg

blending and clipping idiom
Similar to the term ydg. It is supposed to mean “I dig.” It is the proper response to someone who asks ydg?

The term is also a complicated use of blending and clipping of the two words I and dig. This term is exclusively used with people who know the band Of Mice and Men. Without the knowledge of the word ydg, Idg is a term nobody else understands. More exclusively used in Houston as I have never heard this term used elsewhere.
Etymology : The word I is a native pronoun and the word dig is an old French borrowed word. Blending and clipping each word creates a term that is exclusively used online because in spoken language it is pronounced “I dig.”
