Ibrick

noun Compounding
A term used to describe a useless Iphone due to failed jailbreaking to another service provider by someone who had no idea what they were doing.

The term is specifically used in more technologically inclined persons. Someone who knows how to jailbreak a phone will know when an iphone has become an ibrick. It is very tough to jailbreak a phone these days with the new iphone 4S, so this term was coined early on for the first few iphones.
Etymology : The compounding of I before a noun is a term steve jobs trademarked for his apple products. I is a native pronoun and brick is from old French. Compounding the two words gives this neologism.
