archi (215)

noun; clipping
an architecture student

This term is a clipping of the word ‘architecture’ used to describe a student working on their architecture degree. This term was coined because it is a much simpler way to describe this type of student, by eliminating half of the word ‘architecture’ and completely getting rid of the word ‘student’. It is used mainly by Rice students who have a really respectable architecture school.
Etymology : from French word ‘architecture’
